The after-school program includes school drop-off and pick-up transportation, a snack, as well as a mentoring and tutoring program at the center. After-schoolers are given choice of several learning centers to fit their after-school needs. Such centers include: “Homework center” where they can receive help on homework assignments from school, “Personal center” where they may choose an activity to do quietly, “Reading center” where they may read a book provided by GDLC or their own book, and “Games and Puzzles” where they may play games, provided by GDLC, with other students. The after-school program also incorporates outdoor activities. We are also happy to annouce a new computer lab center at the Upper Valley location.
